The DVD is finished!
I've gotten report back that the DVD works properly on PAL DVD players, so I now believe that this is as done as it's ever going to get.
Here's a picture of what you'll get:
Features:
i) Into The Fire Live concert - video transfer from VHS, audio replaced from vinyl LP of the same concert for superior sound quality.
ii) Play Dead Tube performance from 14-dec-1984
iii) Play Dead performance at the Marquee club, 1983. (rather poor quality, and heavily edited)
iv) audio recordings of a few rough mixes from blackwing studios
v) audio recordings of the two M.A.D. tracks
vi) various pictures, adverts, and promo shots thrown into a slideshow.
vii) full color artwork in a slimline DVD case, lightscribe DVD+R.

This version of the DVD is in PAL format only (for the moment)
This means that it will only play on TV/DVD players in Europe, or in the USA if you have a multi-region DVD player.
The DVD itself is region free, but that doesn't mean it'll properly play on your home DVD player hooked up to your TV due to standards differences between NTSC and PAL formats.
An NTSC version will be along eventually, for us living here in the states.
If you only want to play the DVD on a computer, this DVD will work fine regardless of where you live-your computer will convert PAL<->NTSC on the fly.

Pricing and ordering:
If you live in the USA, your price is $6.00 per DVD.
Folks living in the UK/Europe, your price is $10 per DVD.
Above prices include postage! Wow cheap!
I can only take www.paypal.com payments. Please use jeffATsilent.net as payee. (replace the AT with @)
Yes, they're cheap.
I'm not doing this to make money. Since it's not an official product, and technically I'm violating some sort of copyrights by doing this, I want to keep myself as small of a target for the lawyers as possible without taking too much of a loss on every DVD I make. I do live in the land of the lawsuit...
-jeff!
June 2010 - updated prices for inflation and postage hikes. Still cheap! |
